Be a Humane

Be a Humane

On august 19th, when the world spares a day for humanity why not we join them in bringing up more humanitarian heroes. The World Humanitarian Day is a time to recognize those who face danger and adversity in order to help others. This year this day United Nation campaigns with the message of “the world needs more…”

humanity

Though the earth bears the population of more than trillion human beings, you can frequently count the number of humans in hands.  Being human is not that easy. Being human is difficult. Becoming human is a lifelong process. Becoming true human is indeed a gift. A human with humanity is so difficult to find. So what is this humanity?

The oxford English dictionary defines humanity as the quality of being humane. What quality does it take for a human to be humane?  The compassion, brotherly love, fellow feeling and the humaneness are a part of humanity.  The three strengths associated with humanity are love, kindness and social intelligence.

One must never lose faith in humanity. It is our humanity which makes us spiritual and our spirit which makes us human. You certainly can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Everyday attacks against the humanitarians are on rise. It’s time we raise our voice against these attackers. Time to make a difference. On this humanitarian day, be a messenger of humanity. Spread the message of love, kindness and social intelligence, because only love stops hate. Change your world, love your enemies.
